The Problem

Our client based in Europe in Slovenia is the world leader in controls for particle accelerators, both for Proton Therapy systems and for large-scale experimental physics equipment. At the time of this recruitment, as a result of a strategic decision to implement a direct sales organisation in Japan, our client was looking to attract an experienced commercial leader to build and develop a successful business by holding overall responsibility to ensure the effective, efficient, and sales-oriented management of the company in Japan. Reporting directly into the company Headquarters, the General Manager was asked to grow the activity by designing approaches and executing activities, business development strategies, budgets and services guidelines to deliver the agreed strategic objectives, including defining major financial investments and business opportunities.
